Jameel story, which Roving US Handsome young man for Adhan

He will azan in every mosque that is in the fifty states of the United States.

Painful? That's the subject line of the email that was sent a few weeks ago for Syed Jameel, the man behind the project muezzin: Historic Journey in America.

This is actually one of several emails hatred Jameel received when starting the project.

What is so controversial about this project? On 3 April 2015, the Jameel departed from his home in Rochester Hills, Michigan to become the first muezzin in US history that the call to prayer in all fifty states.

Muezzin are people who call to prayer before prayer. So Jameel plan is for the call to prayer in every mosque yanga in the fifty US states.

This trip is not just a regular tour for Jameel, it is the culmination of his personal mission as the muezzin and that the words of the Prophet Mohammed more widely known.

"American Muslims feel disconnected and depressed by the inclusion of hatred and bigotry against them in their own country. I first started this project to seek the pleasure of Allah and then in the hope of repairing the American spirit in the power of prayer," said Jameel from Saudi Gazette quoted Dream, Saturday 25 April 2015.

Jameel explained that a good Muslim life has long been hijacked by a group of people who do not represent the 1 billion Muslims who live in peace and full harmony in society worldwide.

He said, the project aims to show the Muslim community can do good things.

Trying to reach all 50 states in just 35 days, Jameel trying to show the world that American Muslims are not only fully and harmoniously integrated into the community, but more robust and resilient than ever before, even in the midst of rising Islamophobia.

Project muezzin try to show the beauty and spirit of Muslim communities across the United States.

After performing the azan, Jameel will interview leaders of mosques in all 50 mosques in the state, with a focus on three topics: the history of Muslims in the country, the relationship between religion and the Muslim community around the mosque, the mosque and the message to be conveyed to the people around the world.

For Sultan Yahya, project manager muezzin of New Jersey, this project is also a very personal journey.

"I was born and raised in the United States. This is my country and I refuse to stand quietly while the hatred continues to worsen and spread in our country," said Yahya.


Jameel hoped his trip would inspire American Muslims and Muslims around the world; to do good for the greater community. Jameel and Yahya expected to return to Michigan on May 8
